KL Monorail (14 June, 2017)
Kuala Lumpur Monorail Line
KL Monorail is a monorail mass transit system in downtown
Kuala Lumpur. It is operated by KL Infra, a subsidiary of Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad, an investment arm of the Ministry of Finance which also owns the
Ampang and
Kelana Jaya LRT lines. The service began on 31 August, 2003.
KL Monorail has 11 stations over a distance of 8.6 km (5 miles), from the KL Sentral station to the Titiwangsa station. The Titiwangsa and Hang Tuah stations are interchanges with the Ampang Line. The Bukit Nanas station is said to the an interchange with the Dang Wangsi station of the Kelana Jaya Line, but I do not add this into the table below, as I find that they are an impractical distance from each other.
Riding the KL Monorail
It's much easier and cheaper to ride the KL Monorail using a Touch 'n Go stored value card. You can also use it for taking the
LRT and
MRT. You just need to make sure you have enough money in your card before starting your journey. I use my TESCO Clubcard with Touch 'n Go for my rides.
