If you are driving into Kuala Lumpur from the north, you will most likely be taking the North-South Expressway Northern Route (E1). As you approach Kuala Lumpur, pay attention to the signage for Kuala Lumpur and follow it. Every exit on the expressway is numbered. The most crucial interchange is the one at Bukit Lanjan. This is where the expressway forks two. If you go straight, the expressway takes you to the Jalan Duta Toll Plaza and onwards to the city centre. If you turn left, you continue down the New Klang Valley Expressway, which takes to Shah Alam and onwards to Klang.
If you are coming down the North-South Expressway from the north, keep right when you reach the approach to the Bukit Lanjan Interchange . Follow the sign for Kuala Lumpur. (If you took the left fork, it goes to the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), also signaged E1, which takes you to Shah Alam and Klang.
Taking the right fork takes you to the Jalan Duta Toll Plaza . After you pass the toll plaza, keep left to exit the expressway at Exit 330 to Jalan Duta (now called Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim). Stay on the right lanes. To reach downtown Kuala Lumpur, stay on the right lanes.
This will take you to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim. The rest of the journey on the map (from B to C) assumes that your destination is Dataran Merdeka.
Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
