Aurora Tower (GPS: 3.15847, 101.70981) Aurora Tower is a skyscraper planned for Kuala Lumpur. It is sited on a plot at Jalan P. Ramlee, across the road from the Petronas Twin Towers. It will be constructed on the land formerly occupied by Wisma Angkasaraya. As such, the building is often also called Angkasa Raya. The 1.59-acre land was bought by Sunrise Berhad, a wholly-owned unit of UEM Land Holdings Berhad. As of July 2018, the site of the demolished Wisma Angkasa Raya still has not seen a completed building.
So far at least two different design options have been proposed for Aurora Tower. The likely option will see a 268-meter tall skyscraper being built there. Aurora Tower is expected to be 65 storeys tall. It will house Grade A premium office space as well as 200 5-star suites and some 280 high-end serviced residences. The building is designed by Ole Scheeren, who also designed the CCTV headquarters in Beijing.
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
