Jalan Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (May 2024)
Jalan Cheras is a major road on the southeastern part of
Kuala Lumpur. It is the main road through
Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The road starts at the intersection with
Jalan Tun Razak and
Jalan Chan Sow Lin, where it continues from Jalan Pudu, and ends at the interchange with the
East-West Link Expressway, where it continues as the
Cheras-Kajang Expressway. The stretch from the Loke Yew roundabout is part of Federal Route 1.
Jalan Cheras got its name from the village of Cheras, which is believed to have gotten its name from the Malay word
teras, meaning the core of the tree.
