Jalan Kia Peng, Kuala Lumpur (28 December 2023)
Jalan Kia Peng is a minor road in downtown
Kuala Lumpur. It connects
Jalan Raja Chulan in the west with
Jalan Tun Razak in the east. In between, it forms junctions with Jalan Perak,
Jalan Pinang,
Persiaran KLCC,
Jalan Stonor,
Jalan Conlay and
Jalan Eaton. Jalan Kia Peng is the road on the south side of
KLCC. As such, it also connects with Persiaran KLCC.
Jalan Kia Peng was named after Taiping-born tin miner Choo Kia Peng
1 who was educated at the
St Xavier's Institution in Penang, and later began his career in the mining industry, working his way up from a clerk to becoming tin mine owner himself.
