Jalan Kuchai Lama, also known as Old Kuchai Road, is a road in southern Kuala Lumpur. In its present incarnation, it connects Jalan Klang Lama in the west with the Sungai Besi Expressway and Maju Expressway in the east. The road passes through a very old part of Kuala Lumpur which has been opened as early as the late 19th century, and of course, as a mining area. The name Kuchai comes from the word for Chinese chive 韭菜. It refers to a tin mining area of that name.
Traveling Jalan Kuchai Lama from west to east, motorist pass on the north side , Kuchai Business Centre, Taman Lian Hoe, Taman Indrahana, SMK Sri Sentosa, SK Sri Sentosa, Top Two Snooker Centre, Pizza Hut/KFC, Kuala Lumpur Industrial Training Institute, Restoran Loon Sing Oriental Thai Seafood and Ajinomoto Malaysia, while on the south side Wisma FGA (GPS: 3.09075, 101.67646), TM Kuala Pauh, Taman Continental, Taman Pagar Ruyung, Petron, Shell and Taman Kuchai Jaya.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
