Jalan Rozario, Kuala Lumpur (8 July, 2016)
Jalan Rozario is a minor road in
Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. It connects
Jalan Tun Sambanthan to
Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad.
Originally called Rozario Street in 1915, Jalan Rozario was named after R.L.D. Rozario, the Chief Clerk under the administration of William Treacher, the then Resident of Selangor. Rozario was a Eurasian of Portuguese descent was from Malacca. The road was named because it used to lead to the government quarters for administration clerks. These quarters, known as Hundred Quarters, were eventually demolished in 2015, to make way for the Sentral Suites project.
