Jalan Scott, Kuala Lumpur (14 June, 2017)
Jalan Scott is a minor road in
Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. It is in the form of an inverted "L". Jalan Scott connects Jalan Tun Sambanthan 3 in the north to
Jalan Tebing in the south. In between, it also forms a junction with Lorong Padang Belia.
Jalan Scott was originally known as Scott Road. It was named after Sam Scott
1, who had his Selangor Ice & Aerated Water Company at the end of the road, on land that is today occupied by the
Sri Kandaswamy Kovil. Although there is a
Scott Road in Penang, and a
Scotts Road in Singapore, these were named after other people.
