Go BackJalan Strachan was named after John Strachan1, a chartered engineer who worked as Director of Public Works of the Federated Malay States. He first arrived in Malaya in 1920, was tranferred to Sri Lanka for a period, but returned to serve as General Manager of the Federal Malay States Railway in 1927. He was also the Chairman of the Railway Board within the Federal Council, and was a member of the Johor Causeway Committee.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website.
