Jalan Tun Perak is one of the major roads in downtown Kuala Lumpur. It was originally known as Java Road (1889-1946), then Mountbatten Road (1946-1961) and Jalan Mountbatten (1961-1981).1

Jalan Tun Perak links Jalan Parlimen in the west with Jalan Pudu in the east. It runs in a northwest to southeast direction, and forms junctions with several other roads including Jalan Raja, Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Melayu, Jalan Benteng, Jalan Melaka, Lebuh Ampang, Jalan Tun HS Lee, Jalan Hang Lekiu, Jalan Raja Chulan and Lebuh Pudu.
