Jalan Yap Ah Shak, Kuala Lumpur (14 June, 2017)


Jalan Yap Ah Shak is a minor road in Kuala Lumpur. It is a one-way street connecting Jalan Raja Abdullah in the east with Jalan Doraisamy in the west.

The namesake of Jalan Yap Ah Shak is a late 19th century personality who owned various businesses, particularly in gambling. He once held the position of Kapitan Cina of Lukut¹, but gave up that position to Yap Ah Loy, so that he could concentrate on his businesses.
