KLCC (GPS: 3.15622, 101.7143) is a huge urban redevelopment in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The name stands for Kuala Lumpur City Centre. It is one of the world's largest urban redevelopment projects. It was built to create a self-contained city within a city. KLCC covers an area of over 1.67 million sq metres (18 million sq feet). It includes commercial, retail, hotel, convention, residential, and entertainment facilities. The masterplan delineated the site into 22 freehold lots on the 20-hectare site.
The KLCC neighbourhood has mostly sleek, small luxury condominiums and serviced apartments, with some older houses and bungalows. The luxury condos and serviced apartments here are some of the most expensive in the country, in terms of price per square foot. Development is dense towards Jalan Ampang in the north. Over the past decade, places such as Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Stonor are experiencing rapid development of luxury condos. The residents here are upper-middle-class executives and expatriates.
MRT/LRT
People who live in the KLCC neighbourhood are unlikely to depend on mass transit to get around. The nearest station are the KLCC LRT Station and Ampang Park LRT Station. Both are quite a distance to walk, if you are in the far end of the neighbourhood.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
