LC Restoran (GPS: 3.16721, 101.70321) is a nasi kandar restaurant in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur. It is opened by the children and relatives of Abdul Hamid Seeni Parkir, 67, who after a lengthy tussle, was on 20 January 2016 ordered by the court to vacate the famous Line Clear stall off Penang Road in Penang, within three weeks. While Abdul Hamid has decided to go into retirement, his children and relatives decided to become the new flagbearers for his nasi kandar. However, rather than going head on with Abdul Hamid's cousin T. Abdul Latiff in Penang, they decided to reorientate to Kuala Lumpur. And instead of using the Line Clear brand (and court another court visitation), they wisely opt to call the KL operations LC Restoran.
Meanwhile the line is now clear for T. Abdul Latiff to take over the business at Line Clear Penang, and the new management began operating there on 15 February, 2016.
Quotes of some of the reviews of LC Restoran
The Star: "Did it hit the spot? For me, yes, as I am partial to the Line Clear brand," wrote the author Looi Lai Yee, adding, "The hubby felt the mix of kuah kari that drenched his rice was not quite up to mark."
VKeong.com: "Even though the flavor is somewhat there, I felt the curries are a tad watery and not "kao" enough to provide the oomph. Something is missing in the taste, as though it's lost in translation between Penang and KL. Not to mention the rice was mushy as well."
EatDrink: "The curries could be more robust, but this feels familiar enough to merit honourable comparisons to nasi kandar on a Penang alley."

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
