Menara Ilham, Kuala Lumpur (8 July, 2016)
Menara Ilham (GPS: 3.1593, 101.71873) is a 58-storey skyscraper on
Jalan Binjai, in the
KLCC enclave, in downtown
Kuala Lumpur. With the height of 275 meters (978 feet), it is the third tallest skyscraper in the KLCC area (after the
Petronas Twin Towers) and fifth tallest building in Malaysia (behind the Petronas towers,
KL Tower and
Menara Telekom). The building is also called IB Tower, with the acronym IB standing for Ilham Baru. It was fully completed around August, 2015.
Menara Ilham was built by Menara Ilham Sdn Bhd. It was designed by Foster and Partners. The building cost USD 580 million. The lobby has a 14-meter high ceiling. On the 3rd floor is Ilham Gallery, an art gallery showcasing works my Malaysian and international artists. Also in the lobby zone is a banking hall, a convenience stall, a cafe and a food court.
Menara Ilham houses offices split into two tiers: low-rise offices from levels 7 to 21, and high-rise offices from levels 22 to 35. There is a Sky Terrace restaurant on level 37, meeting rooms, gym, spa, business centre and auditorium on level 38, and above that, from levels 39 to 53, are serviced apartments.
