National Aquatic Centre (GPS: 3.05541, 101.69345) is the main aquatic arena in the country. Located next to Sungai Kuyoh in Bukit Jalil, it is within the National Sports Complex. The centre was built to design specification in strict observance of the guidelines of the International Swimming Federation.
The National Aquatic Centre has an overall area of 28,000 square meters. Within the area is the Olympic-size swimming pool that measures 50 meters by 25 meters and has a depth of 2 meters to 3 meters. The pool is broken into ten lanes. Next to this is the diving pool, which measures 25 meters by 25 meters, and has a depth of 5 meters. The diving tower has platforms at 3.5 meters, 7.5 meters and 10 meters.
In addition to the main pool, there is also a training pool at the National Aquatic Centre. The training pool measures 50 meters in length by 20 meters with, and has a depth of 1.8 meters. It is broken into 8 lanes.
The main pool area has an audience seating capacity of 4,000, with space to accommodate an additional 2,000 temporary seats. There is a VIP box on the north face, with area for the media as well.
