Palaces in Kuala Lumpur

There are quite a number of palaces in Kuala Lumpur, as it is the national capital. Many of the rulers of the various states also maintain a residence in Kuala Lumpur. The residences that are not the main palace of the ruler is known as Istana Hinggap. The main palace in Kuala Lumpur is Istana Negara, which is located off Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim. It replaces the old Istana Negara on Jalan Istana.
