River of Life Heritage Quarter, Kuala Lumpur (12 July, 2016)
River of Life Heritage Quarter (GPS: 3.14962, 101.69588) is a riverside promenade in downtown
Kuala Lumpur. It is part of the beautification of the grounds of the
Masjid Jamek, along the banks of
Sungai Gombak and
Sungai Klang.
When the River of Life project is completed, gone are the days when the two rivers look like giant drains. The project is expected to turn this area in downtown Kuala Lumpur into a leafy park with squares and wide walkways. It is said that the entire rejuvenation exercise on the Klang River is expected to cost RM4.4 billion.
