Taman Tasik Titiwangsa (GPS: 3.17663, 101.70751), or Titiwangsa Recreational Park, is a 46-hectare recreational park on the northeast of Kuala Lumpur.
Located on Jalan Kuantan off Jalan Tun Razak, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, as its name suggests, has a lake in the middle, one of the biggest in Kuala Lumpur no less. This placid lake provides a good spot to reflect and find some solitude in the otherwise urban environment of Kuala Lumpur. The lakeside hedges are well trimmed to form a formal garden. There are facilities for jogging, workout stations and a restaurant. Also available are facilities for canoeing and aqua biking.
Taman Tasik Titiwangsa has an equestrian section, called Rekreasi Berkuda. The public can ride horses as well as horse carriages at the equestrian area. Horse riding is priced at RM1.50 per person per round for adults, and RM1.00 per child. The fee for riding a horse carriage is RM1.00 per adult per round and RM0.50 per child per round. This service is provided on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 9:00am to 11:00am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Horse riding is available at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa every Saturday and Sunday from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm. A trainer is at hand to walk the horse with the rider. Horse drawn carriage rides are also available for groups of 4-5 persons. This ride takes visitors on a quick tour around the recreational park.
Within the vicinity of Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is the national theatre, the Istana Budaya. Also visible from the lake are the Petronas Twin Towers.

On my visit to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, I find that part of the lake is overgrown with some form of weed or water plant, probably due to pollution of the water. This would be of great concern if not arrested.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
