Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial is a collection of buildings that were once the residence and office of the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.
On 10 November, 1994, the former residence of Tunku Abdul Rahman was declared the Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial. This was officiated by then Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial preserves memorabilia related to the Father of Independence. This includes old photographs, documents, newspaper clippings, even gifts that the Tunku received, the clothes he once wore, and his furniture. There is also an audio-visual presentation about the Tunku. Even the 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood automobile that was used by the Tunku is on display.
In order for visitors to get to know Tunku Abdul Rahman better, the items on display are arranged according to themes. Among the themes include the Tunku's role in attaining independence for the country, the Tunku's philosophy and the Tunku's biography.
