Chitty Museum (GPS: 2.20374, 102.24149) is a cultural museum at Kampung Gajah Berang in Malacca. It showcases the history, customs, culture and religion of the Chitty people. The Chitty, also written Chetti, are the Hindu Peranakan community. This museum came about after the community secured funding from the state government following the visit of Malacca chief minister Mohd Ali Rustam to the Chitty village in June, 2000. It is one of the museums managed by the Malacca Museum Corporation, or PERZIM. The museum opened on 5 August, 2003.
There is an admission fee for visiting the Chitty Museum. It is RM2 per adult and RM0.50 per child. The museum is open daily except Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
