Jalan Temenggong is a road in the historic city of
Malacca. The road is named after the Temenggong, a traditional Malay noble title referring to a high-ranking official responsible for law and order in the Malay Sultanate.
Jalan Temenggong runs from the intersection with
Jalan Laksamana,
Jalan Bendahara and
Jalan Kampung Pantai in the west to the roundabout with
Jalan Munshi Abdullah and
Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho in the east. Traffic on Jalan Temenggong is one way. The traffic is east bound and west bound emerging from the intersection with Lorong Bukit Cina.
Jalan Temenggong is characterized by a mix of old and new structures, reflecting Malacca's rich cultural heritage.
