Malaysia Youth Museum (Muzium Belia Malaysia) (9 July, 2005)
The Malaysia Youth Museum (GPS: 2.19459, 102.24939), or Muzium Belia Malaysia, is a museum housed in the former General Post Office of Malacca. Located along Jalan Laksamana, it was officially declared open by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, on April 15, 1992. This museum is dedicated to the youth in the country for their contribution.The museum also doubles as the Melaka Art Gallery.
The Melaka Art Gallery occupies the upper level of the Malaysia Youth Museum. Established in 1958, the art gallery was reopened to the public on 8 November, 2006, after being closed since February of that year for renovations. It features works by various local and foreign painters including Rafie Abd Rahman and Jehan Chan.
