Museum of Literature (GPS: 2.19379, 102.24954) is one of the museums within the museum precinct of Malacca. It is located between the Stadthuys and the Governors Museum. This building dates from the British era. Some of its functions including as a residence, and it also was used for a time as a prison.
The Museum of Literature was opened by then Malacca Chief Minister Mohd Zin Abdul Ghani in 1984. Its displays document the development of Malay literature including past works such as the Malay Annals and Hikayat Hang Tuah.
