Muzium Lebuh Sedunia (GPS: 2.29998, 102.31146), also known as The World's Bee Museum, is a one-of-its-kind museum celebrating bees. It is located in Ayer Keroh, Malacca. It was founded in 1978 by Ong Kang Peng, a local bee specialist who runs B.B. Town, the largest honey producer in the country. The muzium was originally located next to Taman Mini Malaysia, but it relocated to a different spot next to Taman Rama-Rama & Reptilia a few years ago.

As would be expected, the World's Bee Museum provides scrunitizing detail about the lifecycle (and lifestyle) of bees. There are millions of live bees that visitors can view through glass.

You can learn about bees in the world, view photos of their hives, and look at products produced or associated with bees including honey, propolis, royal jelly, bee venom and drone pupas. Propolis is a stuff made from buds and flowers. It comes from the bee hive, and is known for healing properties. Royal Jelly is a secretion used by the bees to feed their queen. It has natural hormones, Vitamin B-complex, and other properties, and is known to improve physical performance, memory, immune system and sexual drive. Bee venom is used of treating arthritis, asthma, multiploe sclerosis and other ailments. Drone pupas are immatured bees. Its consumption is said to improve energy and help in halting skin deterioration.

It addition to the museum, the company has several outlets including at Zoo Negara, KL Tower, KL Central Market, Alam Sentral Shah Alam and Alamanda Putrajaya. Their main office is in Bukit Katil, Malacca.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
