Kuala Klawang (GPS: 2.93893, 102.07077) is a small town in Negri Sembilan. It serves as the administrative centre for Jelebu District. As such, it is also often called Jelebu. Located within Mukim Kuala Klawang, the town is in a forested area surrounded by a number of Malay reserve lands.
There are two sights of note in Kuala Klawang. The first is the Kuala Klawang Memorial, built by the locals in the 19th century to honour Queen Victoria. The memorial is located on a hillock and can be reached by a flight of steps. From the top, you can get a good view of the town below. If you are coming from Seremban, you will pass the other attraction, Jeram Toi Waterfall.
Kuala Klawang itself is a small town. Many of the civic buildings spot the distinctive Minangkabau roof structure, with its pointed roof ridges. The biggest of them all is probably the community hall, or Dewan Besar Majlis Daerah Jelebu, also called Dewan Besar D'Sury.

Visiting Kuala Klawang
Take State Route N86 from Seremban heading north. There is nothing much to see in town, except for Muzium Adat. Most of the buildings in town are government buildings. The town proper is concentrated between Jalan Dato Syed Ali and Jalan Dato Menteri.
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
