Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal is one of the three main roads running through downtown Seremban. Originally known as Birch Road, it is located between Jalan Tuanku Munawir to the west and Jalan Yam Tuan to the east. Traffic on Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal flows in a single direction from south to north (and from north to south on Jalan Yam Tuan).

Jalan Dato Bandar Tunggal forms junctions with Jalan Berhala, Jalan Sungai Ujong, Jalan Dato Sheikh Ahmad, Jalan Dato Lee Fong Yee, Jalan Tunku Hassan, Jalan Dato Abdul Rahman, Jalan Dr Krishnan, Jalan Dr Murugesu, Jalan Utam Singh, Jalan Pasar, and ends at the junction with Jalan Kapitan Tam Yeong and Jalan Tun Dr Ismail.
