Istana Seri Menanti (GPS: 2.70062, 102.15801) is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of
Negeri Sembilan. It is located in the town of
Seri Menanti, in the district of
Kuala Pilah. The palace, which is not open to the public, is located a short distance from the old palace, a masterpiece of Minangkabau architecture, which is today preserved as a museum, the
Muzium Diraja Istana Lama Seri Menanti. The road towards the present Istana Seri Menanti has an arch with the words Daulat Tuanku. It passes through a parkland, Tasik Seri Menanti, before arriving at the palace gates.
