The Smokehouse Hotel Cameron Highlands (2 May, 2016)
The Smokehouse Hotel Cameron Highlands (GPS: 4.48406, 101.37868), formerly called Ye Olde Smokehouse Inn, is a charming country inn in Brinchang in Cameron Highlands. Officially known nowadays as The Smokehouse Hotel & Restaurant By The Golf Course Cameron Highlands it overlooks the 18-hole Sultan Ahmad Shah Golf Club (formerly Cameron Highlands Golf Course). From there, you can good views of Gunung Brinchang in the horizon.
A landmark in Cameron Highlands, The Smokehouse Hotel was built in mock-Tudor style ("mock" because it's not actually Tudor). The Smokehouse Hotel celebrates everything British, right down to the red telephone booth in the driveway. On its walls are antique pistols, brass kettles, and faded photographs of British officers.
Outside, the garden is meticulously tidy and planted with a variety of local plants that from far, would pass for an authentic English garden.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
