Wai Yat Restaurant, Cameron Highlands (2 May, 2016)
Wat Yat Restaurant (GPS: 4.4917, 101.38924) is a Chinese restaurant in Cameron Highlands. It is located on Jalan Bandar in Brinchang. My wife and I went there for dinner on our final evening in Cameron Highlands recently. We decided upon trying out this restaurant because we are looking for a place to have cooked-to-order meal, and we are quite done with having steamboat again.
We ordered right from the menu. As there were just the two of us, we ordered small portion of each dish. The dishes we ordered are kangkung belacan (RM8), House Special beancurd (RM8) and lemon chicken (RM15). Along with two glasses of loh han kor drinks, our bill came to around thirty-something, which I felt was quite okay, compared to other places in Cameron that we've been.

The portion of kangkung belacan is very big for a "small" plate, allowing me to eat the vegetable generously. The lemon chicken is a much smaller portion in comparison, but enough for two diners. The House Special beancurd, for all its worth, is not particularly special after all. On the whole, the meal was not too bad. I have had worse on this Cameron trip, though it isn't memorably outstanding.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
