Chin Swee Temple, Genting Highlands (14 January 2010)
Chin Swee Temple (GPS: 3.41259, 101.78812) is a Buddhist temple in Genting Highlands, Pahang. It was constructed by Genting founder Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong in 1975. Together with a group of friends, Tan Sri Lim pooled a fund for the temple. He also made a personal donation of RM8.1 million towards the building fund.
Chin Swee Temple occupies a 28-acre site on the hill slop about 4,600 feet above sea level. It offers splendid views of the surrounding Titiwangsa mountain range.
Chin Swee Temple took 18 years to build. It was finally officially opened to the public on 29 March 1994. The temple is now open daily from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Among the sights here include the Goh Tong Hall Residence and Chin Swee Deity Hall.
