Dapoq Pak Beh Ramadhan Buffet Review
My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying the Dapoq Pak Beh Ramadhan Buffet on 12 June, 2017 at the invitation of the hotel. By the time we tried this buffet, it has already opened to paying guests. I am pleased to see that the response has been quite good with most of the tables occupied that evening.
The Dapoq Pak Beh buffet offers an astounding variety of Muslim fare. During my review, the buffet was held at the sixth floor, which is otherwise the car park. The space was given a makeover specially for the buffet. Food stations were set up all over the area, with different food item clustered together. To complete the ambience, a Gamelan troupe was brought in to provide live entertainment of traditional music. The troupe included a little boy who is absolutely adorable.
The highlight of this buffet, for me at least, is the stall with durian-based items. There were durian cream puffs, durian tarts and durian bubur manis, to name a few. I made a beeline to this stall as soon as it opened.
The number of items and amount of food was so big. For main dishes alone occupied three different "stalls". There was Ayam Madu, Ketam, Ayam Percik, Kari Ikan, and much more. Then there's a whole section of "hawker food" such as Asam Laksa, Mee Sup Utara, Nasi Ayam Hainan, Satay, Murtabak, Roti Canai and the Kambing Golek. The kuih-muih also occupied a large portion of the space. There's also Bubur Gandum and Pulut Hitam.
My wife and I had a glorious feast at Iconic Hotel's Dapoq Pak Beh Ramadhan Buffet, and we want convey our heartfelt thanks to the hotel for having invited us.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
