Batu Kurau (GPS: 4.97466, 100.79475) is a small town in the district of Larut Matang, Perak. It is located to the north of Taiping. Perhaps the only call to fame for Batu Kurau is that it is the birthplace of the late Kamaruddin Mat Isa, the fifth Menteri Besar of Perak, who served from 1970 to 1974.
After you passed Masjid Kamunting, you will arrive at the intersection with Route A7. Turn left and head north on Route A7. At Kampung Ulu Sepetang, at Sekolah Kebangsaan Ulu Sepetang, there is a junction through which A7 continues. Do not turn left but continue on the same road, which is now called Route A5. After another 20 minutes, the road crosses a river (Sungai Ara). Thereafter is a junction to State Route 113. Take this road and follow it all the way to Batu Kurau.
Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
