Gunung Rapat (GPS: 4.55692, 101.12174) is the name of of cluster of limestone hills in Ipoh, Perak. The neighbourhood located to the immediate north of the hills is likewise called Gunung Rapat. The name Gunung Rapat, which translates as "tight mountain" refers to the limestone hills that are tightly clustered together.
Due to its characteristic, Gunung Rapat is home to numerous caves. These have been appropriated by the local Chinese and Indians and made into cave temples. Among the cave temples at Gunung Rapat include Sam Poh Tong, Nam Thean Tong, Ling Sen Tong and Kek Lok Tong. There are also lakes at Gunung Rapat that have become tourist attractions. They include Tasik Cermin and Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village.
The main road at Gunung Rapat are Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah and its namesake Jalan Gunung Rapat. The Gunung Rapat neighbourhood is sandwiched between the limestone hills in the south and the Ampang neighbourhood in the northeast. Sungai Pinji forms a natural boundary in the northwest.
