Halaman Goes Green (GPS: 4.59987, 101.079) is a public park beside Sungai Kinta in Ipoh, Perak. It was created by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (Jabatan Pengairan dan Saluran) for Kinta and Batang Padang district of Ipoh, to clean up and beautify the Kinta River. The effort received the IQNet and SIRIM QAS International certification for fulfilling the requirements of the standard ISO 14001:2004 on 11 February, 2016.

The beautification project sees the construction of a riverside park with walkway and landscaping. At the same time, the quality and cleanliness of the water on the Kinta River was also progressively improved. The beautification project was carried out in stages. In 2012, it was carried out on a 1-km stretch from Jambatan Lim Bo Seng to Jambatan Sultan Idris Shah. By 2013, the beautification is extended from Jambatan Lim Boo Seng to Jambatan Musa Aziz, and in 2014, it extended to Tanjung Rambutan.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
