Experiencing Impiana Hotel Ipoh (19 October, 2018)
My wife and I enjoyed the hospitality of Impiana Hotel Ipoh on 19-21 October, 2018. Leaving Penang in the early morning, we arrived in Ipoh within a couple of hours. Before going to the hotel, we decided to explore Ipoh, to revisit some of the sights in Ipoh as well as to explore sights we have not been to before. To save time, we bought some paos from home, which we had as our lunch.
We finally arrived at Impiana Hotel Ipoh around 3:45pm. To our pleasant surprise, the hotel has already reserved a VIP parking lot of us at the front porch. Checking in was smooth. The hotel has assigned for our use their Premiere Suite, which is on the 8th floor of the hotel. The suite is the size of two deluxe rooms combined. One side is the bedroom while the other side the living room. Each has its own en suite, as well as its own television set and writing table. What I like most about the room is that it has wall to wall windows offering uninterrupted views of Ipoh, all the way to the mountain range, which if I am not mistaken, includes Gunung Korbu, the second tallest peak in Peninsular Malaysia.
Shortly after we have checked in, the phone rang. It was Ms Ezaieda Fazira Idris, the Marketing Communications Executive. We immediately went downstairs to meet her and her trainee, Ms Chi Ai.

The next day, during breakfast, I bumped into an old ex-colleague, Mr Michael Lim, who was a trainer at my previous company, and is doing giving training independently.

Dinner on our first night was at The Coffee House, the hotel's main dining outlet. We enjoyed the company of the hotel's general manager himself, Mr Gerard Sta Maria, who joined us at our table. As with many of the hotels I have visited, I made it a point to get to know the general manager, so that we can operate on the same frequency.

One of the highlights of our stay at Impiana Hotel Ipoh was enjoying the set dinner at The Bistro. This is a four-course fine dining.

On our final day at Impiana Hotel Ipoh, we enjoyed Hi-Tea, again at The Coffee House. The highlights of Hi-Tea were mee goreng and dodol puff. Both are incredibly delicious.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
