Jalan Raja Ekram is a street in the New Town of
Ipoh. It runs roughly north-south across town, from Persiaran Hospital in the north to
Jalan Sultan Iskandar in the south, across from Jalan Yang Kalsom. In between, it forms junctions and intersections with numerous roads including Jalan Dato Seri Ahmad Said, Kampung Jawa, Jalan Dato' Yeoh Cheng Lee,

Jalan Leong Sin Nam,
Jalan Sultan Idris Shah,
Jalan Mustapa Al-Bakri,
Jalan Theatre and
Jalan Yau Tet Shin.
Jalan Raja Ekram was originally known as Cowan Street. It was named after William Cowan, who was the Protector of Chinese within the British Administration. The road was renamed after nobleman Raja Ekram, who was the Raja di-Hilir of Perak.
