Persatuan Hin Aun Perak (GPS: 4.59707, 101.08623) is a Chinese clan association in Ipoh, Perak. Established in 1975, it occupies a 4-storey building along Jalan Leong Sin Nam.
Persatuan Hin Aun Perak was established by the in the early years after the Second World War. The first meeting was held at No. 48, Theatre Street on 28 December 1945. Leaders of the community back then were Chen Gan-hou (陳干侯), Huang Ke-rong (黃克榮), Liu Wen-ying (劉文英), and Li Fu-xing (李福星). A preparatory committee was formed to draft the association's constitution, recruit members, and raise funds. After three months of preparation, the first general meeting was held. The association applied for official registration and elected its first committee, with Chen Yun (陳雲) serving as the inaugural president.
However, the association faced challenges during its early years (1945-1971). Due to economic downturns and a lack of resources, progress was slow. Despite these hardships, the association made significant contributions to cultural education and charitable causes, always striving to serve the community with impartiality and dedication.
By the early 1970s, it became evident that reforms were urgently needed. A general meeting in late 1971 elected a new administrative committee for 1972–1973, led by Chairman Chen Jin-fa (陳金發) and other capable individuals. This marked the beginning of a renewed effort to build a permanent association headquarters.
In 1973, the association successfully purchased a plot on Jalan Leong Sin Nam. Despite challenges like soaring construction costs, the committee decided to procure materials directly and proceed with construction. On November 11, 1973, ground was broken for the new building. The project was completed by mid-1974, and a grand opening ceremony was held in 1975, celebrating the inauguration of the new headquarters and the Tianhou Temple.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
