Kuala Kangsar Royal Museum also known is a museum showcasing the treasures of the Perak sultanate. It is housed in Istana Kenangan near the Ubudiah Mosque.
The Perak Royal Museum at Kuala Kangsar was opened by Sultan Azlan Shah on 16 November, 1986. The structure, built of wood without the use of nails, measures 42 meters in length and 11 meters wide. The floor plan is supposed to resemble the keris in its scabbard.
The Royal Museum is opened Saturdays to Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:45 pm. It is closed on Fridays.
