Masjid Al-Badr 1000 Selawat, Pangkor (22 September 2020)
Masjid Al-Badr 1000 Selawat (GPS: 4.19466, 100.57918) is a floating mosque in Pangkor, Perak. Also known as the Floating Mosque of Pangkor, it is today a tourist attraction. Construction began in March 2014, and the mosque was completed in October 2016, at a cost of RM11.7 million.
The word "selawat" means prayer of well-being for the Prophet Mohammad. Masjid Al-Badr 1000 Selawat was designed to incorporate decorative elements that are reflective of the state of Perak.
