Pantai Pasir Bogak (GPS: 4.21123, 100.55599) is a stretch of beach on the western coast of Pulau Pangkor. The beach forms a gentle curve and has golden sands. It is served by Jalan Pasir Bogak, the main road that continues across the island to the east coast. The beach at Pantai Pasir Bogak is wide and sandy. There are hotels, restaurants and beach recreational businesses lining Jalan Pasir Bogak.
From Pantai Pasir Bogak, you can see the island of Pangkor Laut, home to the luxurious Pangkor Laut Resort. A smaller island off the coast, between Pangkor Laut and Pangkor Island is Pulau Simpan.
From Pantai Pasir Bogak, you can take a island hopping trip to visit various sights and islands on the west coast. During my visit in 2020, the operator of this island hopping trip is Ocean Blue. I will provide the details below.
Island Hopping with Ocean Blue
Ocean Blue provides island hopping excursions of Pangkor, with stops off the coast of Pangkor Laut, Pulau Mentanggor and Pulau Giam. The cost is RM35 per person (Sept 2020), for at least 10 participants. The whole journey takes about 2 hours.
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
