Pulau MentagorPulau Mentagor (21 September 2020)

Pulau Mentagor (GPS: 4.22837, 100.53512) is an island off the coast of Pulau Pangkor in Perak. Located on the west coast, it is the second largest off-shore island after Pangkor Laut. The island is largely undeveloped, safe for the Pulau Mentagor Marina, which is owned by the Federal Government. In 2019, the Ministry of Transport had attempted to collaborate with the local municipal council but nothing came about due to financial constraints.1

The Pulau Mentagor Marina was completed on 31 July 2007, and began operations on 22 March 2010. It was built by YTL under its subsidiary Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd, and handed over to Jabatan Laut Malaysia.

Pulau Mentagor is on the Map of Pulau Pangkor, Perak, Malaysia

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
