Taiping Indian Muslim Mosque (GPS: 4.84751, 100.73434), also called Masjid India Jalan Kota, is the place of worship of the Indian Muslim community of Taiping. As its name suggests, it is located at Jalan Kota. They came to settle in the Larut district and built their mosque at Kota, which is on the southern end of the old Taiping town, and engaged in the textile trade, as well as in grains and Indian cattle. The Keling Mosque is dedicated to the wali of Nagore, and is called Masjid Mohammedan Hanafi Nagore. The site was obtained through an agreement signed in 1908 between the mosque's trustees and the acting British Resident of Perak, E.L. Brockman, upon approval of the Sultan of Perak.

The present structure dates back to 1969, when its foundation stone was laid. It was officially open on 1 July 1973 by the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Idris al-Mutawakkil Allahi, at which time, it was given the name India Mosque.
