Padang Besar Railway Station (GPS: 6.66209, 100.31908) is the railway station at the border between Malaysia and Thailand. It is located in the town of Padang Besar in Perlis, across from the town of a similar name, and written in Thai as ปาดังเบซาร์. The Padang Besar Railway Station is the northernmost station on Malaysian soil for the KTM Intercity trains, and since 11 July, 2015, the terminus for the KTM Electric Train Service (ETS).
Padang Besar Railway Station is between the Bukit Ketri Railway Station and Hatyai Railway Station for the KTM Intercity, and is the station after the Arau Railway Station for the ETS.
Passengers heading for Thailand have to clear immigration and customs at the Padang Besar Railway station, which has the customs, immigration and quarantine facilities for both Malaysia and Thailand.
