Perlis State Park (GPS: 6.69813, 100.19123), also called Taman Negeri Perlis, is a recreational park in the state of Perlis in northern Peninsular Malaysia. This is in fact the first state park to be established on the peninsula. It was gazetted on 3 July, 2008.

The Perlis State Park covers an area of 4,379.81 hectares. It covers parts of the Mata Ayer Forest Reserve and Wang Mu Forest Reserve on the north western part of Perlis.

The vegetation at Perlis State Park is semi deciduous. The forest trees such as the meranti shed their leaves between the months of December and May. Some parts of the state park is covered with lowland Dipterocarp trees. According to the Perlis Forestry Department1, 616 species of flora have been documented within the park, as well as 68 species of mammals, including 5 species of primates, 4 cat species and 32 species of bats; 211 species of birds, including 6 species of hornbill; and 35 species of reptiles.

Going to the Perlis State Park

The public can reach the park by taking Perlis State Route R15 heading towards the Thai border at Wang Kelian.
