Persiaran Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Putrajaya (7 December, 2016)
Persiaran Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah is a major boulevard in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The boulevard is in Precinct One of the city, it forms an oval connecting to various major and minor roads around it. Located within the oval bounded by Persiaran Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah are Istana Melawati and the Putrajaya Shangri-La. With a length of 3.4 km, it is said to be the largest circular roads in the world.
Persiaran Sultan Sallahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah was named after Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Al-Haj (1926-2001), the eighth Sultan of Selangor, in honour of the monarch under whose reign Selangor land was parcelled to become the third Federal Territory of Malaysia. Putrajaya was officially declared a Federal Territory on 1 February, 2001, and in November of the same year, Sultan Salahuddin passed away.
