Crocker Range National Park, Sabah

Crocker Range National Park is a national park that protects the Crocker Range in Sabah as a forest reserve. The Crocker Range are mountains that range in height between 1200 to 1800 meters. The national park covers an area of 1399 sq km. It is the largest national park in Sabah. With it are several species of flora and fauna that are endemic to Borneo. They include at least five different types of primates, such as the orang utan, gibbon and furry tarsier and the long-tailed macaque. Sungai Padas cuts through the range separating it between the towns of Beaufort and Tenom.

Getting there

There is unfortunately no tourist facilities at the Crocker Range National Park. The main highway that crosses the Crocker Range ascends from Kota Kinabalu over Gunung Alab through the Sunsuron Pass heading to Tambunan.
