Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort (GPS: 6.15348, 116.14892) is a luxury seaside resort in Sabah. It is located in Tuaran, about 32 km to the northeast of the Kota Kinabalu city centre. In front of the resort is Pantai Dalit, which offers close to 3 km of sandy beach overlooking the South China Sea. Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort has a 64-acre forest reserve and 18-hole golf course within its grounds. Covering an area of 400 acres, it is one of the largest resorts in Malaysia.
Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort offers 499 guestrooms and suites. They are spread over two wings, namely the Garden Wing and the Ocean Wing. The Garden Wing offers 278 deluxe rooms of various types and 10 suites while the Ocean Wing offers 173 suites. All the suites in the Ocean Wing come with private outdoor bathtubs.
Of the many restaurants and bars at Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, the main ones are Tepi Laut, Oceano Modern Grill, Coffee Terrace, Kozan Teppan-yaki, The Eighth, Sampan Bar and Lobby Lounge.
Activities at Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort include The Spa, 18-hole championship golf course, Rasa Ria Reserve with nature walks, talks and stingless bee briefings, horseback riding, ATV, cycling, two swimming pools, whirlpool, children's playground, children's water theme park, water sports, wall climbing, karaoke and more.
