Kuala Penyu (GPS: 5.57171, 115.59714) is a town on the Klias Peninsula, in the Interior Division of Sabah. It has a population of about 16,500 people comprising mostly of Kadazan-Dusun people from the Tatana subgroup.
Getting there
You can catch a minivan from the station behind Wawasan Plaza to Kuala Penyu. The cost is RM10 for a 2-hour journey.
Kuala Penyu is the site of the annual Pesta Rumbia or Sago Fest, celebrated to promo sago as a traditional food. This festival is held July every year.
