The Gombizau Honey Bee Farm is about 43 km south of Kudat. Founded about ten years ago, the bee farm is one of the main activities in Kampung Gombizau, a village of Rungus people.
At the Gombizau Honey Bee Farm, you can learn about how the bees make honey. You can find out everything related to honey production, from the bee wax to honeycomb and royal jelly. The Rungus people have been consuming honey for centuries. It is believed that regular consuming of raw honey is good for health.

Getting there
I would recommend following a tour group by contacting an operator in Kota Kinabalu or Kudat. Tours are available for around RM250 from Kota Kinabalu, with the Tip of Borneo and Rungus Longhouses in the itinerary. If you really want to go there on your own, you can take a bus from Kota Kinabalu to Matunggong or Kudat, and telling the driver to drop you off near the farm. One way ticket costs RM18. You can also get a taxi from the Kota Kinabalu Taxi Station near Merdeka Field, for RM300 per taxi per way, or rent a car and drive there yourself, at RM180 per day.

About this website
Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
