Madai Baturong Forest Recreation Centre, or Hutan Recreasi Madai, is a recreational forest along the Lahad Datu-Tawau Highway. It is an ideal place for motorists to stopover for a respite before continuing their journey. According to the Wildlife Department, there are 23 caves in Madai and 38 in Baturong.
In addition to the caves, the Madai Baturong Forest Recreation Centre has a canopy walkway and waterfalls.
Getting there
Madai Baturong are located on the turning off the Lahad Datu-Tawau Highway about 15 km from the town of Kunak, and 50 km from Lahad Datu.
